IACBT MEMBERSHIP

The membership of the IACBT is open to professionals (i.e., practitioners, academicians, trainers, researchers) and students from such disciplines as Psychology, Psychiatry, Child Development, Nursing, and Social Work in addition to institutions/corporates; whose area of work as well as professional interests are conducive to the objects of the Association and have implications for furthering them.

The IACBT is primarily a professional interest group aimed at clinical practice, research and training in CBT. It is not a licensing body but aims to develop and run training courses as per its mandate as well as establish a system of accreditation & continued professional development for CBT practitioners registered with the IACBT, while upholding the highest professional and ethical guidelines in the field.

All IACBT members are expected to follow the code of professional conduct as outlined by the American Psychological Association. Any malpractice or professional misconduct by any member would result in an immediate expulsion from the Association. IACBT envisions positioning India on the world CBT map by establishing highest standards of CBT practice, training, supervision and research.
